Let's Talk...
I want to exhort you this morning.
When you feel that God is speaking something that could have an important impact on others, yet, you are just not sure if it is truly God speaking. You want to be sure, even concerning the timing. Remember this; God will always confirm His word by two or more witnesses.
God knows our weaknesses, especially when we are not that familiar with His voice, as opposed to some inspiration that looks good but is actually fleshly or satanic. Do not be afraid! Again, God will confirm His word by two or more witnesses.
There is a deception that you must be aware of; if you go looking for a confirmation you can turn anything into one. Just let the 'word' rest in your heart and without searching God will bring the confirmation to you. It is in quiet rest that you will hear Him speak once more.
The confirmation may come through the most unexpected source. But, when it comes, you will have an unexplainable peace in your heart.
I have learned that Satan will give up, after a season, on leading through deception, but when it is God you just can't shake it. The Holy Spirit within you is taking His instructions from the Father and Abba is looking to His Spirit to guide you into all truth.
When you mature you will learn the voice of God from the angel of light. If I can use a crude analogy, it would be like putting someone else's tennis shoes on in the dark...they just don't feel right, they just don't fit!
"My sheep, (a mature animal, not a lamb) hears My voice and a stranger they will not follow."

I have been learning and reading about intercessory prayer for many weeks now. This last week I have felt very impressed to interceede on a very high level for a brother of mine who is unemployed. He is very qualified in his craft but every time he goes for an interview or gets a temporary assignment it turns bad, really bad. I have felt he is under a major spiritual attack to steal his faith. He has even stated that he feels like "every time I get a good job and start climbing the ladder or get in the good graces of the company, the bottom falls out". I see this as a deceitful lie of satan to steal his faith. This morning I read in the book I am studying (Dutch Sheets) about intercessory prayer and about a dream the writer had about his dad and that a rattlesnake was coiled up around his feet and ready to attack him. Then he stated another story using the same type of example with a rattlesnake coiled up around the persons feet. Tonight I just jumped on your blog from weeks ago and you are talking about a rattlesnake coiled up around your feet. I have been wondering what and how to pray for my friend and I believe that these examples of a coiled rattlesnake is a confirmation that my friend is under a dangerous attack and that he needs to be cautious, be sharp,be alert, be slow and deliberate about his actions. I appreciate your willingness to open this blog for me to share my thoughts. Thank you. I am not feeling led to share too much of this with him, as to not scare him, but to encourage him to move slowly and deliberately about what job he should takes.
