This day my soul is aflame with the Spirit of the Living God. I have been with Him alone for the last four hours and now as the light of a new day is breaking forth, I must write to you what He has shown and said to me. It is directly related to your life and service in His Kingdom.

First of all, He said, “Benji, I have set you to strike the match that will set fire to the woodpile of despair, failure, hopelessness, cowardice and despair.” And, with that mandate in focus, I am compelled by His Spirit to tell you “Don’t give up!” The dream or desire you have is from God, and you are to be as tenacious as a junk yard dog with a bone.

Van Crouch said: “Winners are losers who got mad.” The things you have been through in the past, though at times seemed to be failures, have produced some good ‘stuff’ in you. You have salvaged some treasures, like wisdom, understanding, humility and compassion from the rubble of past heartbreak. You are stronger in the knowledge and love of God than you have ever been.

On every highway to success there are many signs, - some marked, ‘Detour Ahead’, ‘Wrong way’, ‘Hard Hat Area’. You have faced some gigantic spiritual bulldozers that were headed straight toward you. Their plan was to plow you under. They were belching out accusations like “you are a coward,” “who do you think you are,” “you’re too late,” “forget it,” “it just isn’t God’s will.”

Yes, as you look back you think how weak you have been, but the truth is you have been quite a warrior.

We’ve all traveled the same roads, Dear One. And that is why I feel so bonded to you this day; Most all of us have been down the same roads and faced the same thing. It is all relative, isn’t it? I can tell you right now, sweet heart, that you are more capable now of winning than you have ever been.

Come on, keep plowing through, the Glory is just ahead and if God has promised it, who can stop it? Wait a minute, there is one person and that person is you. These are a few things that I have learned that causes failure:

Failure to think or,
Thinking too much about the past;
Not stopping long enough to think things through;
Not giving God a chance to speak to you, while you remain silent;
(And as a result)
Satan laughs, knowing he has a chance to cause you to listen to what he says.

Believe, Sweet One; hang on with joy until the job is completed.

You have what it takes; God’s Word and the strength of His Spirit. Jesus is ever interceding and we are standing with you. The greatest legacy you can leave is that you never gave up, you kept the vision and the faith that God would deliver for His Namesake.

Even now I feel the powerful anointing of Jesus moving my fingers to encourage you in this. You have the wisdom, the favor and all of Heaven backing you up. Get mad and win!

Sir Isaac Newton worked forty years writing the law of gravity. He said, “What I have done is due to patient thought.”
Noah Webster spent thirty six years working on his dictionary.
Fanny Hurst received thirty six rejections from Saturday Evening Post, before one story was accepted.
Sweet heart, you have enough faith in God to see the promise come to pass. WOW!

Can You Feel It...?

All over this city, Billboards with nothing but scripture have gone up,

A lifesize bronze stature depicting Jesus, standing beside the Lake, with a net in His hands,

Gospel singings going on in restaurants,

A sixty foot lighted cross at the entrance to the city,

Prayer meetings held on business properties for motorist to see God's people praying together,

It's amazing what is happening...ALL due to travailing before God for His will to be done in this city. As a result, those of us who have joined in unified prayer, are receiving personal blessings of answered prayer.

"YES, you can feel the Wind. You can see where the Wind has been because things are changed, there is movement, there is displacement, there is a cool brush across your soul and you want to look up into the sky and see Jesus coming down.

WHEN THE WIND BEGINS TO BLOW, YOU FEEL HIS PRESENCE AND THERE IS AN EXCITEMENT, IT'S IS LIKE A CHILD LOOKS FOR WARD TO CHRISTMAS MORNING FOR HE KNOWS THAT THE THINGS HE DREAMED OF ARE GOING TO BE A REALITY.

DARLINGS, GRAB HOLD OF A BROTHER OR SISTER'S HAND AND PRAY HEAVEN DOWN. THE lORD IS WANTING TO SHOW HIMSELF MIGHTY, MIRACLES TO US ARE JUST NORMAL HAPPENINGS FOR HIM. HE IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CARE ENOUGH TO TRUST HIM.

You can, yes you can experience the feeling of God's Holy Presence right where you stand.

In the middle of The Water,

A Blanket or a Hug...

Last week, as I was remembering back to my early child-bearing years, living in an inner city, low rent housing project. The thought came to me, "What did I need more than anything during that barren time?"

We needed everything that made for convenience, comfort and even the barest necessities to live a decent life. We were poverty stricken. But, there was one thing that would have been more appreciated and valuable to me than any physical provision.

Consider with me what is the most needed thing in every human being's life. Without a doubt the poor need money, they need a blanket to keep them warm, they need food. But, just giving them food will never meet the greater need.

The food will run out, the blanket will wear out, the money will be spent out.
And, then, a handout is needed all over again. The same one that gives the money, the blanket or the food, without giving the everlasting thing, will be no more than a sounding brass or tinkling cymbal.

To give a pat on the shoulder from a compassionate and truly caring heart will warm their soul for years to come.

To give a tender affectionate hug will feed their hunger for love and self-worth long after the money thins out. God loves a cheerful giver and so does the poor man. The coat, the blanket or the sweater given without a tender smile, a twinkle in the eye, will never speak of Jesus' love for them. To warm and feed their flesh without warming their heart with genuine concern for their souls is to miss eternity.

Saying, "You're going to make it." without compassionate caring will go in one ear and out the other. But to say, "How can I help you make it?" will stand them upright.

There is no wonder why Paul wrote the elements of true love to the Corinthians.

They did every thing up right, they were not amiss in any of the gifts. Paul went as far as to say, "If you thought you could give me your eyes, you would do it..."
I have found some church leaders who think that to meet the physical needs, to have the finest of everything for their church building. Including the greatest choir and organization is enough.

But I tell you as one who lived in dire poverty and shame, I needed someone to wrap their arms around me and just stay that way until I could cry out that reservoir of depair, shame and feeling of absolute aloneness. I was the mother with five children, no Mama, no Daddy, no church, no one in the world to care. I have lived without genuine love from "Christians" that thought that helping with the basic physical needs was all that was necessary.

A word of encouragment, a hug from the heart, caring eyes that teared up and said louder than words, "I truly care." would have stayed with me eternally. Because of Jesus I don't live in that deplorable, destitute situation any longer.

However, recently I was the speaker at a certain function and everything had been prepared in the most excellent way. They had left no stone unturned, so to speak. There was only that one, most important thing missing; LOVE! Oh, I am sure they would have said it was because of love that they had done so much but when true love is present, you can feel it. You can see it in their smile, hear it in their caring words, see it in their eyes, feel it when they reach out and touch you with a hug, a pat on the back. Maybe someone will just come up from behind and start scratching your back. Then....you know they really do care about you!
I still need bunches and gobs of that wonderful stuff! In fact, the next time I see you, you're going to get a great big hug. When I see Jesus, I plan on kissing him the first thing.

Loving you,

Benji

Your dream...Your life!

What's the difference? There is no difference for a true disciple.

"What is your dream, what do you want to accomplish within five years? What is your dream, your goal?" Our pastor posed this question to all of us this past weekend.

His words took me back and I recalled when my life TRULY began; I was going to put an end to my earthly life , when suddenly I saw Jesus hanging on a cross looking down on my miserable life, with love in His eyes. At that moment my spirit connected with His and his goal for my life was birthed. Little did I know that His divine call on my life was deposited in my soul at that very moment. Like a microscopic sperm...

When a young husband and wife are 'making love', they don't give a thought to the fact that there is a sperm driven, rushing toward a dream, a goal, that, if successful, will bring forth a brand new life, a life that has never been before.

Remember how exquisite love for Jesus flooded your being when you first knew, without any doubt, that He loved you and you were forgiven?

Remember how you wanted to shut the world out and just be alone with Him, yet there was such joy bubbling over in your souls you wanted to run into the streets and tell everybody about Him?

We wanted them to have the same joy and life that was surging through our entire being.

Yet, we did not know, we could not feel or even comprehend that at that same moment, a spiritual conception had taken place, and a dream, our purpose for living was being conceived in the womb of our soul. Silently it began to grow inside of our unconscious thoughts. Little by little we began to ponder what we wanted to do in return for His great love.We then began to tell others about it. As it grew we expanded on the possibilities...Street ministry, pulpit ministry, nursing home ministry, healing the sick....everything was wide open for us. Remember?

I realize so well that God birthed me and you in this life to be indwelt by His Spirit and Anointed us to do whatever needs to be done, through the directives and the power of His Spirit.

It is not some spooky, unimaginable mystery, it isn't any one thing. It has nothing to do with 'feeling like it.' This is your and my life totally and completely, to do whatever Jesus wants done today.

I get up in the morning, face life with my eyes wide open. I don't know for sure what the day will put before me, but whatever it is I don't have to feel led or red hot. I just do. And you can be sure, it always involves meeting someone else's needs; a letter of encouragement, planning a gathering, counseling, holding some mother's screaming baby while she is trying to find her keys.. telling some hard working waiter they are doing a great job, and then putting an abundant tip in there to put meat to my words.

You should be a Living dream. IF you aren't giving, serving, loving, then you aren't living, Baby. THINK ABOUT IT! the world needs you whether you feel like it or not!

The next person you meet may be the reason you are still alive and breathing.
There is a wonderful bonus that comes with living out your dream; You laugh more, stay well longer, people like to be around you, you go to bed at night and tell the Lord, "Father, don't you think I did good today?"

Lots of thought and love,

Benji

Hey, this makes sense....

This morning I laughingly said to a dear friend, "I don't know why the Lord keeps testing me when He knows I am going to make an 'A'." How do I know I'm going to make an 'A', because I have determined that no matter how hard it gets I'm going to praise the Lord!

But you know with all of my best intentions and making a determination to always acknowledge Jesus as the Lord over every situation, I can still rob myself of the fruit that God intended me to produce.

An acquaintance of mine, who was quiet prominent in the field of marketing, wrote a book a few years ago and the book was titled something like this, "What they don't teach you at Harvard." That brings my possibility of failing to mind as I consider the things many of us never learn in the early years of our lives. If I wrote a book I could title it,

"What I never learned when I should have learned it, that's why I'm so messed up now, and as a result I have no confidence or boldness."

I know what you're thinking; "That's not a title, Benji, that's a whole sermon." You are right, but it's actually not a whole sermon. You will get the rest of the sermon if you care enough to say, "Hey, that title is talking about me!"

From the day we came out of the womb, we all had teachers. We observed behaviors, we studied the countenance, we listened as words were spoken and on and on. Most all of us came from backgrounds filled with teachers that we wish we had never had. But we find ourselves emulating even those that we did not respect or want to imitate.

When the Lord termed the salvation experience as being, 'Born Again', that means we start all over brand new. However, all the teachers we had in the past that made us feel worthless, afraid and unsure of ourselves are still haunting us. The Lord said, "How can they know without teachers." You just gotta have teachers that can turn you around and make you into what you really wish you could be.

This is the heartbeat that I have for all humanity that did not have the advantages of a godly stable home life.

Favor With God and Man Institute
will deal with every aspect of what you should have learned at an early age. God wants us to be the most bold, confident, powerful, joyful influences on this planet. And you can be!

Please call me or email me about your desire to make this dream come true.
You can truly be a new creature, not in word only. This is God's will concerning your life.

Love,

Benji

Magnetic Troubles...

Nope, I don't mean it like it sounds. (I can't help but laugh,) There are some people who feel like their lives just attract troubles. They just travel along and "BOOM", more trouble. (That is true with some folks, but praise God, not me or you.)

They can turn this into good if they will just stop and ask God, "What's going on!! What am I doing or not doing that makes me like a magnet for everything bad that can happen?" The Word gives a full list of possible causes and none are listed as; "It's someone else's fault, blame them." or "You're just a poor little darlin."

Now, here is a Champions way of thinking; For us, this is just another opportunity to show us, as well as others, our faith in God and bring Him Glory!

Trouble is a magnet that God is using to draw out the wisdom, the discipline, the creativity, the determination to win, the fighting Spirit, the singlemindedness, the very best of God working by His Spirit.

YEA!!!!! Bring it on!!!! We've already faced the bear, the Lion, and so many Goliaths we can't even count. This is just another triumph about to happen. OH, Praise God for His trust in us to come through every storm with a a smile that has never ceased!

"Come on, Benji. Get real."

Hey, I am. I lived on the losers side for thirty-two years, but Christ translated me over to His side. You got it, I sure am a cocky King's kid. Come on over, the weather is fine. Sure storms hit, but when The Lord is truly your Lord, what can Satan do without God's OK? If we will give God the Glory and thank Him in every situation you can be sure that promotion is just ahead.

Here is a bonus, people in high places will see you as a very stable and in control person, not flaky.. . They will want to help you, seek your counsel and just bless you any way that they can. The world is going crazy, but here you are with your shoulders straight, head up and talking like you have some sense and know where you're going. The world is looking for someone that has some stability. You have been chosen. Now, will you choose...?

Lotsa Jesus' kind of love!

Benji
